everything we do is about one thing: introducing people to Jesus.
We exist to reach the lost, the hurting, and those who feel far from God—and help them discover the life-changing love of Christ. Our purpose is simple and powerful: Connecting hearts to God and each other. We live this out by:
worship boldly
We create space for people to encounter God through authentic worship and biblical teaching every weekend.
know Jesus personally
We invite people into a real, growing relationship with Jesus—one built on love, truth, and grace.
build meaningful
community
We help people connect in life-giving relationships, where they’re seen, supported, and never walk alone.
grow & go
We guide every person to discover their God-given purpose, empowering them to live it out and make a difference.

our beliefs

the Bible is the final authority
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God—our foundation and ultimate source of truth for every part of life.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."
— 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)
— 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)
God’s Word is not just ancient wisdom—it’s alive, relevant, and powerful. At Harvest, you’ll hear teaching that connects Scripture to real life and calls us to live in obedience and faith.
God is our creator and king
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal, holy, and sovereign. He is the creator of all things and the author of our salvation.
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."
— Deuteronomy 6:4 (ESV)
— Deuteronomy 6:4 (ESV)
Jesus is the only way to salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
— John 14:6 (NIV)
— John 14:6 (NIV)
Through His sacrifice, we are offered forgiveness and eternal life by grace through faith—not by works.
the Holy Spirit helps us to live fully
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, guiding, comforting, and empowering us to live a life of victory, freedom, and purpose. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and the fruit they produce.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses..."
— Acts 1:8 (ESV)
— Acts 1:8 (ESV)
We embrace Spirit-filled worship, prayer, and the pursuit of God’s presence.
water baptism and communion
We practice baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith and obedience to Christ. We also celebrate communion as a remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice.
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins."
— Acts 2:38 (NIV)
— Acts 2:38 (NIV)
discipleship is our daily walk
Following Jesus is more than belief—it’s a lifestyle. We are called to grow in faith, become more like Christ, and help others do the same.
"Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
— Matthew 28:19–20 (NIV)
— Matthew 28:19–20 (NIV)
At Harvest, we believe every believer is a disciple and every disciple has a mission.
worship is our response to who God is
We believe worship is more than music—it’s a lifestyle of honoring God. Our Sunday services include Spirit-led worship, and we encourage freedom in lifting hands, singing, and praising God boldly.
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."
— Psalm 150:6 (ESV)
— Psalm 150:6 (ESV)
We teach that praise and worship are weapons of victory and a path to deeper intimacy with Jesus.

our name
The Meaning Behind Our Name
The name Harvest Church comes straight from the heart of Jesus.
When He looked out at the crowds—lost, hurting, searching—He said: “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
— Matthew 9:37–38 (ESV)
From day one, this Scripture has shaped who we are and why we exist. We believe we are living in a time when many hearts are ready to know God—but they need someone to show them the way.
At Harvest Church, we are committed to being those laborers—people who boldly share the hope of Jesus and reap a harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God.
Harvest Means Mission
We don’t just go to church—we live on mission.
The name “Harvest” reminds us that the world is full of people God loves, and He has called us to go to them.
Whether it’s your co-worker, neighbor, or someone you pass in the grocery store—every heart is part of the harvest.
“Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.”
— John 4:35 (ESV)

Harvest Means People
The harvest isn’t about numbers—it’s about people. Every person matters to God, and we believe every life can be transformed by His love.
That’s why at Harvest Church:
- We reach the lost
- We disciple the found
- We send the called
Harvest Means Urgency
We believe now is the time.
We aren’t waiting for a move of God—we’re stepping into it. The harvest is ready, and we’re answering the call.
What This Means for You
You’re not just invited to attend—you’re invited to join the mission.
Whether it’s your first time in church or you’ve been walking with God for years, there’s a place for you to grow, serve, and reach others.

our story

how it started
Harvest Church began in August 1999, when eight people gathered with Pastor Charlie and Djuana Dial in their home in Sioux Falls. They didn’t have a building, a big budget, or a blueprint—but they had a vision: to see lives radically transformed by the power of Jesus.
From the beginning, Harvest was built on a simple mission: connect hearts to God, and to each other. With hearts full of faith and the gospel as their foundation, they prayed, worshiped, and believed that God would use their small beginning for something much bigger.

how we've grown
Over the years, God has been faithful. What started as a handful of people has grown into a vibrant, diverse church family. We've moved through seasons of meeting in different locations, planting roots deeper into our city, and watching God open doors we never could’ve imagined.
Our services have multiplied. Ministries have expanded. Lives have been saved, restored, and sent out. But through it all, one thing has never changed: our commitment to making Jesus known and keeping the lost at the center of our mission.

where we're going
We believe our best days are still ahead. We’re pressing forward with fresh vision and the same unshakable mission—to bring the hope of the gospel to every person we can reach, from the streets of Sioux Falls to the ends of the earth.
As we grow, we are continuing to invest in the next generation, plant seeds of revival, and equip people to live bold, Spirit-filled lives. Our prayer is the same one we’ve been praying since day one:

Lord, use us to reach the lost and build Your Kingdom—far beyond what we could ask or imagine.
