I don’t know how many of you are reading these blogs, but here is a thought God gave me this week. I hope you take the time to read it and let it encourage you.
The promise of “I will build my church” was meant to encourage the disciples. They were walking along the dusty roads of Caesarea, north of Jerusalem. They were essentially in exile. The Jewish, religious and political leaders had targeted Jesus and were determined to have Him Killed. The people were looking for a political, military, and economic Messiah to deliver them, but Jesus had already disappointed those hopes. The multitudes that once followed Him, had turned away AS SOON AS HIS TEACHING CHALLENGED THEM (John 6:66). Sounds alot like today.
